Hello, I’m Jenny.
Three years ago, I picked up a pickleball paddle thinking it was simply a fun, easy sport to learn. But it was a friend who showed me what it could truly mean.
She was struggling—stressed, withdrawn, carrying a heavy load. When I invited her to play, something shifted. During the game, she became completely present, lost in the moment. Afterward, over a meal, I’d see her shoulders relax and her smile return. That’s when I understood: pickleball wasn’t just a game. It was a gateway.
I started inviting more friends—women at different points in their lives, each facing their own battles. What began as a small group gradually became a community. I watched people transform, moving from tension to ease, from isolation to connection. Every time I saw that shift, I became more convinced that we were onto something real.
Two years ago, my partners and I launched a pickleball business, and it’s grown steadily. But that original spark never left me—the knowledge that a simple paddle and ball could genuinely change someone’s day, maybe even their week.
With the support of everyone who believed in this vision, I decided to formalize what we’d begun. The Hong Kong Pickleball Foundation was created to do this work properly, at scale, with purpose.
What fills me most with gratitude is the community that’s grown around us. Volunteer coaches who give their time. Organisers who bring people together. Players who simply show up, again and again. You’ve made this journey something I never have to walk alone.
Moving forward, we’re committed to creating more opportunities—training volunteers, reaching new communities, building partnerships. Our mission is straightforward: use pickleball to open doors, inviting more people to get moving, connect with others, and rediscover their smile.
If you’d like to play, volunteer, or learn more about our work, we’d love to hear from you.
Think less. Play more.
With gratitude,
Jenny
